"To enlighten, educate, train, and certify 9th to 12th graders (male and female),
in the trade of becoming a youth flag football official."
The American Youth Flag Football Officials Association (AYFFOA) has pioneered an elite online program, to train the next generation of youth flag football officials. Our mission revolves around empowering young minds by equipping them with knowledge, skillsets, and opening doors to employment within the youth flag football officiating domain.
Our curriculum is meticulously designed to cover the gamut of officiating essentials, from game rules and mechanics to vital soft skills like communication and decision-making. The end-goal? To mold participants into exemplary officials, adept at game management and exuding confidence on the field.
Beyond learning, AYFFOA serves as a conduit to substantial youth employment prospects. After successfully navigating our program and earning a certification, participants are ushered into a vast network of youth flag football events nationwide, offering them hands-on experience and a stepping stone to carve their niche in the industry.
In essence, AYFFOA isn't just an officiating program; it's a holistic development platform, nurturing leadership, teamwork, and life skills that resonate beyond the football field.
AYFFOA's Online Youth Flag Football Officials Training represents the epitome of quality blended with convenience. Here's a deep dive into what our program offers:
Diverse Learning Modalities: Catering to various learning styles, our platform offers video lessons, interactive quizzes, and live webinars. Every participant, be it auditory, visual, or kinesthetic, finds an engaging learning environment tailored to their preference.
Global Accessibility: Our digital approach breaks down geographical barriers. No matter where you are, you can be a part of our inclusive learning community, engaging with the content at your convenience.
Structured Learning: The program is fully online, allowing students to navigate the curriculum at their own pace. Each session is thoughtfully designed to blend self-guided study with interactive segments led by a Master Mentor Official via live video conferencing. This flexible format ensures students can immerse themselves in the material without feeling rushed. At the conclusion of the program, participants undertake a comprehensive online final exam that covers the entirety of the course. For those seeking to improve their scores, which are linked to their officiating pay grade, there's an option to retake the exam.
Certification and Employment: Successful completion leads to certification, which not only stands as a testament to the participant's proficiency but also serves as a passport to employment opportunities. Certified individuals receive an AYFFOA ID, which is essential for accessing game fields and employment opportunities. This ID, valid for a year, embodies the hard work and commitment of the student.
Continuous Growth: Recognizing the dynamic nature of the sport, AYFFOA encourages officials to renew their certification annually. While returning officials can opt to retake the entire course, they also have the choice to just undertake the final exam for their recertification, ensuring they stay updated with the latest in flag football officiating.
Community Engagement: Beyond individual achievements, we celebrate milestones as a community. Our localized graduation ceremonies foster camaraderie and mutual celebration, creating lasting bonds among participants.

Antoine further pursued a career in football by joining the Idaho Vandals in 1995. After a successful season, Antoine soon learned he had a learning disability, and to add to the chaos his senior year was put on a halt. Ultimately, he made the decision to join the San Diego Chargers practice team for a season in 1996-1997. By 1997-98, Antoine was on the Seattle Seahawks practice team. In 1999, he joined the U.S. Army and his Commander supported all of Antoine’s football goals by allowing him to play professional football, with Lafayette Roughnecks while being stationed in Ft. Polk, Louisiana. He then came home to San Diego, CA in 2004 from the U.S. Army and continued to play his football career with a team by the name of San Diego Thunder, where in 2005 the team won two league championships and Antoine was named League Defensive MVP for the 2005 season.
In 2007, he began to host football camps at the Boys and Girls Club in Temecula and Murrieta, CA. In that same year he met his wife and helped raise a beautiful daughter. In 2010 Antoine received an exclusive opportunity from Cornerstone Church in Wildomar, CA to host football camps, and become the league videographer. After two years, he joined forces with Friday Night Lights, a children’s flag football league, and was granted to be the league videographer and field director. Having the role of field director, he had to maintain the utopia between refs, coaches, players, and parents. Altogether, he was involved in FNL for a total of ten years.
